About us

As a multi-professional working group, we take a correspondingly broad approach to influencing developments that above all serve the health of the “65 Plus” target group.

“65 Plus” is meant as a metaphor for old age, not as a fixed age limit.

What we want

To this end, we seek dialogue and cooperation with stakeholders, people affected, policy makers and researchers in workshops, projects and publications.

A voluntary steering team takes care of organisational and administrative tasks. The effort involved is kept as low as possible.

How we see ourselves

We are united by the willingness and shared interest of our members from different professions to help find solutions to health-related problems of older people.

We have chosen free cooperation and deliberately decided against founding an association. All members and the steering team work without pay. We do not charge membership fees.

Every member contributes to our aims as far as they are able.

The working group as a whole has no material interests of its own and does not undertake any activities that involve financial or liability risks.

Taking part

Members and participants of this working group are interested people from as broad a professional and social spectrum as possible, as well as experts from medicine, health care, public health, health economics, medical management, social medicine, health services research, self-governing bodies of the health system, journalism, law, health and social policy, urban planning, economics or political science and related fields.

Our meetings, talks and documents are in German.

How we work

We

  • analyse the status quo
  • identify weaknesses
  • define goals
  • plan and develop solutions
  • prepare the ground for the plenary

The plenary

  • is a forum for exchange
  • evaluates
  • brings things together
  • gives structure
  • sets the common strategy

The steering team

  • moderates
  • coordinates
  • represents the working group externally
